I wonder what happened to you. One day we’re good and the next day, you’re gone… I miss you. I miss the prospect of something good that’s about to happen. To us, even…
But after months, I guess little by little I have forgotten how I yearned for your touch again. How it sent shivers down my spine.
I guess if it will happen, it will happen. The doors aren’t closed. But for now, I need to close this chapter, and write a new one.
My latest comic for The Nib was written by my friend Mike Thompson- it’s his first published comics work!
The Nib has been a steady source of income and a huge support to me and many other indie cartoonists for years. They publish amazing work, but will be cut loose by their financial backer in July. You can read the official post about it from editor Matt Bors here.
They are still running their kickstarter-funded print magazine, but have to put digital publishing on hiatus until they figure out their next steps.
If you’ve been thinking about supporting their membership program, now would be a good time. They have levels from $2 to $40 per month. I really don’t want this to be my last Nib piece!
As we sat at the beach, toying with each other’s bodies, I get a whiff of your boyish scent. It electrified my senses, like bolts of lightning coursed through my veins. It left me wanting for more. I wondered how you tasted like. This curiosity led me to your nape. I found myself taking my fill of your bodily aroma that made my mind go crazy. Like a cat whose pupils reached the edges of its eyes, my head slowly descended to take a nip at your skin. A small gasp escaped your lips. I craved for more, and gently bit deeper until your gasps became moans. This is is something new.
This photo is a throwback to 2015. In 2012, the first documented laborday weekend party ensued. It was quaint but it seemed pretty fun. The following year, Ateneo vs La Salle made Laboracay THE party of the year. 2014-2017 was a blur, each time organizers trying to out do last year’s party as more and more private ones pop up. 2015 was my first Bora trip with my then partner. It was one of the most memorable trips I had with him. Although my best Laboracay experience were my first 2014 and my last 2017. Both times I was with only my friends to have the time of our lives. It is nostalgic and magical. A time when we felt we were the kings of the world. And every year we would do our beach cleanup. It started when Rayann was so drunk in 2014 he kept picking up trash. After that, I did the same before getting floored by intoxication. Then we started joining beach clean ups. We even went out of our way to educate fellow party goers to put their trash where it belongs and keep it away from the sea. Gone are those days and it is probably for the better. I am the boy who loves this island, and the boy who loves the sea.. It calls me…
